#1 Esce un video nel 2012, una cover di Sophia e sua cugina Rosie di Superbass di Nicki Minaj. Da quel momento Sophia diventa una STAR.

 

#2 Guest star allo show di Elle, duetta con Nicki Minaj ma soprattutto le tiene testa: la bambina diventa una leggenda.

 

  

 #3 Ora è parte integrante della trasmissione: le due bambine tengono una rubrica chiamata Tea Time with Sophia and Rosie dove le due bambine prendono tazze di tè con importanti star del mondo della musica.

Un anno fa è uscito il suo primo singolo "Best Friends". Dedichiamo un piccolo spazio a questa principessavulcanica perché pur essendo piccola e fuori da qualsiasi presa di posizione, rappresenta in qualche modo una forza esplosiva femmminile che spesso si perde con l'età.

#4 Cyndi Lauper

CYNTHIA ANN STEPHANIE LAUPER

Dedichiamo uno spazio a Cyndi Lauper, una delle più grandi star degli anni ottanta e a un certo tipo di femminismo nel pop che ha cambiato la storia della musica. Con lei ricordiamo soprattutto il suo album di debutto She's So Unusual, simbolo artistico di un certo tipo di accettazione ed emancipaizone femminile .

A partire dalla copertina fuori dal comune in cui la Lauper è vestita da gitana, l'album viene ricordato soprattutto per alcuni pezzi indimenticabili.  La hit della Lauper Girls Just Want to Have Fun rimane nella storia come un primo manifesto femminista nel pop. Un testo leggero e semplice che però grida al mondo una grande verità e libera la ragazza, adolescente o più adulta, dallo stereotipo. Il clip contribuisce al frizzante esordio della Lauper proponendo un plot coerente con quello della canzone. Uno dei momenti più ricordati  è di certo la chiamata della popstar alle sue amiche e il loro balletto coreografato.

  

Un'altro brano memorabile è She Bop, inno alla masturbazione femminile in cui nel testo il verbo "to bop"funge da censura per il verbo "masturbarsi" e He's So Unusual che affronta l'omosessualità da un punto di vista puramente femminile. Infatti la Lauper canta del suo ragazzo che le fa girare la testa sebbene sia "fuori da comune" perché non vuole rimanere solo con lei al buio.

Cyndi non è stata solo una delle tante stelle degli anni ottanta. Cyndi è stata un punto di riferimento per tantissime giovani in quegli anni, un esempio di libertà femminile ed indipendenza, una ragazza esplosiva new-wave e colorata che ha cambiato la storia della "ragazza pop".
